Open Air Museum of Lithuania, located 80 km from Vilnius and covering 176 hectares, offers acquaintance with the 18th-19th century architecture, traditions, crafts, and the farmers‘ way of life. The museum boasts an impressive collection of old houses, farms, schools, pubs, and mills representing the country‘s central regions, completed with the flora specific to these regions. A visit to the museum is the adventure of a lifetime indeed. As well as the architectural splendor, this is a living museum featuring men and women in traditional costumes, baking bread, and making pots the old way.
The tour takes up to 6 hours and may be arranged either from from Vilnius or Kaunas.
